Bishop Wolford’s Bio

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Cook County, June 1966, Bishop Wolford received his start in the church at the age 7 from a baby-sitter (Angela Newbern Moore) who took him to a worship service along with her children, (Monica Mosby & Nicole Newbern) and from that one worship service his curiosity was peeked. His Pentecostal experience with our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ kept him coming back for more and more.

As time progressed on Bishop Wolford developed a passion for the music ministry and he started to sing in the adult choir, he later became the Director of the Choir, he also served in many capacities of ministry as he started to mature in the Lord, he began to work in the community with other choir’s community events etc. Bishop Wolford served faithfully at St. Elizabeth Community Union Christian Redeeming Spiritual Temple #1 under the leadership of Pastor Effie B. Newbern for 20years or more, (A church that was founded to give women preacher an opportunity to preach the Gospel) he also served as
Pastor Newberns Armor Barrier.  

On November 18, 1995, Bishop Wolford and First Lady Cynthia Wolford were joined together in Holy Matrimony. They are the proud Parents of 4 Children Terry (31), Ladaysha (16), Genesis (14), and Darius (11), all from Denver, Colorado.

Bishop Wolford and Lady Cynthia Wolford moved their membership in 1996 after the retiring of their Pastor Rev. Effie B. Newbern, to Living Word Christian Fellowship under the Leadership of Apostle Lamarce and Co-Pastor Yvette Tart. In 1998 Bishop Wolford was Licensed to preach the Gospel.

In 1999 Bishop Wolford and His family relocated to Colorado. In 2003 Bishop Wolford was ordained to Pastor in the State of Colorado by Apostle L. Tart & Pastor Yvette Tart. 

From 2005-2008 Pastor Richard M. Wolford was employed with the World Renowned Ministry of Dr's. Wallace & Marilyn Hickey, Marilyn Hickey Ministries on Orchard Rd, Greenwood Village, CO (Covering the earth with the Word).  He served in the prayer center as a prayer warrior on the prayer line for 8 hours a day Mon-Fri, He also, served in the music ministry there and took on other duties as assigned. 

In May 2006, Bishop Wolford became a member of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) and received credentials and given the authority to administer Holy Communion, to solemnize matrimony, and to perform all the duties belonging to the ministry of the Word. 
 
In 2015 Bishop Wolford was Consecrated Bishop in the Lords Church by
Chief Apostle George Johnson, Apostle Preston Bledsoe, and Apostle Donald Addison. In Restoration Christian Fellowship of Christ Jesus, Inc., Bishop Wolford served in the fellowship as the Jurisdictional Overseer/Bishop/Officer of Operations for Colorado.

In June, 2016 under the Leadership of Dr. Ronald Sanders, PH.D – General Overseer/Apostle of Faith Builders International, Leland, NC, having been called of God and recommended by the Board of Presbytery, has been this day set apart by the laying on of hands, to the office and work of a Bishop of the Gospel in the Church of God.
